Ethiopian-Canadian composer, arranger, krar player and vocalist, Fantahun Shewankochew came to Toronto in 2011.  He may have left his home in Addis Ababa behind physically, but his music and culture have always played an important role in his life here.  He has shared his artistic gifts at Harbourfront Centre, the Music Gallery, Habari Africa Festival, What is Classical Festival, Lula Lounge, Small World Music Festival, Alliance Francaise Toronto Theatre, Daniel’s Spectrum, Gladstone Hotel, and with an all-star collective at the Glenn Gould Studio for CBC’s Canada Live and the Luminato Festival.

Fantahun’s newest recording, Lemen?!
